The Cajuns came north and we had lots of fun for several days!
My life is wonderful and beautiful even though it is far from perfect because I am blessed beyond what I deserve. I write random things about this life in order to be able to look back and remember it all!

Camping at Chickasaw State Park
Kennon found this gem of a park last year right before hunting season and we came up for a day of 4-wheeling when the leaves changed and had a wonderful time. We came back for a longer stay this year and enjoyed more things the park offered. Camping, hiking, biking trails, checking out the fall foliage and horseback riding is how we spent last weekend and it was perfect. I cannot wait to do it again!

Weekend before Halloween
We spent the majority of last weekend doing baseball related things like watching J's tournament and watching the World Series but when we weren't tied up with baseball, we were hunting zombies and getting through a haunted cornmaze.

Too much socializing, not enough blogging!
Almost 2 months since my last post....not bad, not bad! Let's see, I'm not going to try to sum all that has happened up so I'll just post this week and hopefully start keeping up again!
The Jason Aldean concert was last night and we ran into all kinds of family there. He put on a great show but I actually liked his opening show (Jake Owen) better!

College Football Week 1!!!!
To celebrate one of our most favorite times of the year, we threw a party last weekend and were dying to see this again:
Can't wait to have some more of this!!
Zoo Brew
Last Friday night, K & I had plans with Angie & Tom to go to Zoo Brew. We met them for happy hour at Chiwawa before and I had my first mango margarita sno cone.
It was almost as perfect as their cheese dip! After a couple of those, we headed over to the Zoo to sample beers from all over the world. It was a lot of fun but there were so many people and it was so hot, we only stayed for about an hour and a half.
DJ and me
Last week I got to hang out with DJ Stephens before he left to go play basketball somewhere in Greece. He was such a great guy & I will miss watching him play for the UofM :(

Laid back
Once again, I'm so bad at updating my blog. I swear with being in school while working full time & taking care of my guys, it seems like I don't have time to keep up with hardly anything else. Hell, most days I'm not able to check my Facebook, Instagram and twitter until I go to bed but I wouldn't change it for the world. I guess I'll post about last weekends activities since nothing much goes on blog worthy during the week unless I posted about research or something else as boring.
We started the weekend off with a relax sesh on the front porch and ride the 4 wheeler around the property and the hood.
I hit Canale's Grocery and the Farmer's Market early Saturday morning; which produced an amazing local lunch!
This was the first year K & I rode in it and it was the first year it was at Tiger Lane. We didn't really know what to expect but now we know that we need to set up like we are tailgating at the beginning and we need to bling our bikes out.
We rode 17 miles through midtown with about 2000 other bikers in the wee hours of the morning. It was a blast but we are going to get more invested last year and plan better since we weren't able to find our friends that we planned on riding with.
Sunday was a lazy day except for working at church and hanging out with this little nugget! Layton, my new grandnephew, was born last week and it absolutely gorg.
Well there it is, another weekend wrap up. I'm such a lame blogger :(

Ryan & Mal's Wedding
Last weekend was Ryan & Mal's wedding and we had a blast. K, J & I headed down to Louisiana on Thursday and Mom & Roy came down Friday. The rehearsal & dinner at Cafe Josephine were Friday night.
We had planned to play a round of golf with Ryan before the wedding Saturday but couldn't find a tee time early enough so we went exploring and to lunch on the Bayou.
Dale & I watched some Cowboys preseason football and then we all headed to the church for the big event.
It was a beautiful wedding & a really fun reception. We stayed at the reception hall dancing and laughing until 1:30 in the morning. The DJ and all of Ryan & Mal's friends provided lots of laughs. I also got to see this pic for the first time:
