Christmas in full swing...even at our house!

Winter has already hit hard, we even had snow earlier this week, so needless to say I have not been in the best mood but I busted out my light and embraced the inevitability of it all yesterday. K was away at the camp so J and I tried some new takeout for dinner. I read a few times about Castle Restaurant by the Uof M having the best Mediterranean food around so we gave it a try and it was very, very good!
I ordered a Gyro Platter and a Vegetarian platter because I am a lover of variety! The spanikopita is hidden on my plate and apparently I ate the dolma and falafel before snapping a pic. I could hardly be bothered with taking a break from the greatness to get a photo but I managed.

J was a big fan too. I see this being a meal again in the near future. We ate pretty early, for our standards so I had to choose whether to be lazy or productive for the rest of the night. I choose production since my guys both mentioned wanting some Christmas decorations on the outside of the house. I got to work pulling things out of the attic and getting busy outside and realized I was missing some key ingredients so we made a run to Lowe's and Target. On the way home, we drove past a house that is totally in The Christmas Story spirit.

I know it's not that clear but yep that is a leg lamp in their window for the whole neighborhood to see. It's about time to watch the movie!
I got the decos done at a reasonable hour. There are a few more things I want to do on the outside and then it will be time to get our tree and get the inside done. I didn't tell K what I was doing last night while he was away, I hope he's surprised when he gets home :) Speaking of K getting home, I wish he would hurry, I miss him so much when he's gone but at least I get awesome texts from him:

A kind of big deal happened since I last blogged!

I've said it before and will say it again:
I. Am. The. Worst. Blogger. Ever!!!
So, since I last blogged oh about 2 1/2 months ago, I had a wonderful life changing event happen....

I spent 11 days on Anna Maria Island and got to marry my best friend while I was there! It was absolutely perfect in every way and I couldn't imagine a better wedding. Our family and friends were there with us for about 5 days and we had the rest of the time to enjoy our newly wedded life doing some of the things we love the best.

It was a great time to start the best days of my life!!!! I have found the person that my soul loves and he is my "Happily ever after"!
