Waffles, fires, birthdays, Tigers and standing brooms

I have a lot of catching up to do, almost 2 weeks worth. The highlights of the past 2 weekends and some of the work week have included:
Finally finding out what all the Lenten Series Waffle Shop hype is about! These waffles were GOOD and so was the sausage. I wasn't all that crazy about the chicken hash though. Their version is more like chicken and gravy, I was expecting something like corned beef hash but with chicken. I didn't let it upset me too much though because everything else was perfection :) and I'm not even a big breakfast sausage fan.
The past 2 weekends have included sitting around the fire and cooking meat outside. Definitely a favorite past time.

The Tigers won the Conference USA championship title and we were there to see it. It was a great game, the smoked Marshall.
We celebrated Heather's birthday with dinner at Abuelo's and I got to spend some time with Brendi too!!! She was in town for her uncle's funeral and I loved getting to catch up with her and introduce her to my buddies.
There was also some weird thing going on with the alignment of the earth and the planets that was causing a weird gravitational pull thing and you could get things to stand up on their own. This was one of the times we were playing around with it. J went really crazy with it and became a little obsessed; it was really cool.
And of course, during all of this, Taco found some time to be lazy!
