No baseball??

Since there was no baseball on the schedule last weekend, I had time
to do a lot of lounging in my TV room that thinks I broke up with it! I hung out with Jess, Jud, Melissa, David, Jerrod & Lauren friday night @ D&M's but the res of the weekend I pretty much just caught up on tons of my shows and finally got to watch "This is 40" which was hysterical.

Margo was able to enjoy the lounging too since she finally got a haircut and wasn't shedding like a madman.

Kennon & a bunch of his buddies met up in Brookhaven to go to Coach Case's last game.

UofM vs. Miss State

The Tigers played Mississippi State at Autozone Tuesday night and even though they got their pants beat off of them, we had a great time. This was the 1st chance we have had to go watch any baseball besides J's, the weather was great, the beers were cold and the BBQ nachos were selling!

Time to fish

FINALLY at the end of April we are getting weather that is decent enough to get the fish biting.

Please observe how after catching a bass the first day, I had to go out and buy fishing clothes to wear on the second day!

Remember the Glory Days Tournament

Our baseball weekend was spent in New Albany, MS last weekend. It started out miserably cold....

.....but then became absolutely gorgeous. The boys played great, winning everything up until the semi finals on Sunday and lost out there.

I'd say someone was pretty exhausted on the way home!

Battle of the Bluff tournament

Spent the weekend before last in Collierville at the tournament. It was freezing all weekend long and the boys had a rough start Friday but they fought their way back on Saturday and finished just a little too short on Sunday. Davis was out of town on a school trip and we really missed his upbeat personality hyping the team up.

Mrs. Stewart

Mrs. Juanita Stewart, better known as Roy's mom, passed away peacefully on April 9, 2013 in the hospital surrounded by loved ones. She lived a long life and had many children, grandchildren & great grandchildren. I know Roy will miss her immensely but he is glad she is in a better place.

Kelly, Sabrina & Jill

K & I were able to add a few more lunatics to our clan last week. Meet our 3 new girls that are named after my favorite Charlie's Angels.....one guess who Charlie is!

Sunday riding & quacking

Since Sunday's baseball schedule was a short one and the weather was nice, K and I had plenty of time & reason to ride the 4 wheeler and hang out with those lunatic duck babies of ours.

Bolton Park Madness tourney @ Centennial Park

Bolton Madness in Munford is how we spent the majority of the 1st weekend in April. Friday ninth was rained out so we had a double header Saturday and then played one Sunday that we lost and that ended our tourney since it was single elimination.

Perfect Friday minus that work part

Other than work and school, we all agreed last Friday was pretty damn perfect. The weather was finally nice enough that I didn't feel like the best option for my night was on the couch, under a blanket! We did some 4 wheelin', fishin', ate some crawfish, played with the horses & had a bonfire. Perfection!

Really good lunch week!

I hardly ever go out to eat for lunch sooooooo this week was very exciting as far as food is concerned. Two lunches out and they were both ah-maze-ing!
On Tuesday the temps dropped so I met Heather at Pho Saigon for some B-H-O. Delish as always.

And today I met Marcy at River Oaks and had what is probably my favorite lunch ever and the absolute best churros I have ever had the pleasure of meeting. These little jewels came as part of my TV dinner that also included Caesar salad, redfish and a pepper cake. Complete satisfaction on a platter is what was served and now I want to go back for weekly visits!

Easter

We stayed in Tennessee for Easter this year for the first time since 2009. I so love going to the crawfish boils in Louisiana for Easter but I always love love LOVE Easter services at Hope so it was nice to be home again! The services were wonderful this year, as always, and they gave me a sunnier disposition even though the weekend was full of rain. I started the holiday off with a quick trip to work on Friday and then cut out around lunch to go to Gould's for some relaxation. I spent the first part of Saturday doing a lot of dessert making since that was what I was put in charge of for Easter lunch. I took J to his dad's, went to church to work the first service, then K & I met the Maxwell's for the second service and grabbed some dinner at Firebird's. Sunday morning was spent finishing up the desserts and hanging out by the pond watching our duck babies in between rains. Easter lunch was at mom's and I snagged pics of everyone in attendance except Sis, John and Nena. After lunch the weather cleared up and K and I spent some more time with our duck babies and the horse neighbors.

It was a very relaxing and pretty much perfect weekend.

Easter weekend was all about family......And desserts!
