Me + Leslie + Nashville = Happiness

I made my way east last weekend to visit Leslie and Baby Violet. We went to Green Hills and Downtown Franklin for some shopping and then had dinner at Virago and an after dinner drink at the new Kayne Prime restaurant. I can't wait to go back and try one of their steaks. They looked and smelled amazing!

Birthday celebration night 3

I woke up on my birthday and was greeted with this from my guys when I came downstairs. They definitely know how to make me smile. I almost ruined the surprise the night before when I was about to go into J's closet to get his dirty laundry, where it was all hidden, but he caught me in time.

Later that night, we wrapped up my celebrations with dinner at Bonefish with mom & Roy.

Birthday celebration night 2

Saturday night's celebration was at The Landers Center for the Luke Bryan Concert with K and J. The show was really, really great! He played for about 2 hours and had 2 opening bands so it was way late when we got out and K and I didn't eat dinner before the concert so we introduced J to the Waffle House patty melt plate at 2:00am after a Saturday night out.

Here's the link to my vid of him doing my fave song!

Birthday weekend night 1

I kicked off my birthday weekend with Friday night dinner at Local on the Square, one of my favorite restaurants with some of my favorite people.

My birthday with friends

I celebrated my birthday with some of my best friends Friday night. We started off with drinks at Le Chardonnay then went to dinner at Local on the Square and finished with some moonshine at the house. It was a great night until the morning came...

Sarah Beth is here!

Kristina had Sarah Beth last Monday and she looks absolutely perfect. We can't wait to meet her in a few weeks!!

Rainy weekend

Last weekend was a Noah kind of weekend so we took full advantage of our cozy movie room, some wine and my cast iron pots.

Geography Bee

A new geography bee champ was crowned at CTK last week and it's my boy! So proud :)

J's birthday part 2 & burning down the tree

On the Saturday after J's birthday, we continued his celebration with a jump party at Skyzone with a couple of his friends.

Later that afternoon, I was finally able to get all of the Christmas decorations taken down and we had a bonfire that night and had our first annual torching of the tree. That joker went up in flames with a quickness.

Carnival season has started!!! Can't wait to get my paws on some red velvet king cake.

My 30 day green smoothie, or green crap as J likes to call it is still going strong.

New Years Eve & J's birthday

NYE around here was as low key as I can remember in years. The Tigers were playing the Chick-Fil-A bowl that night and it was fa-fa-fa-freezing so K & I decided to stay home & watch the game on our new big screen in the movie room. I stocked up on groceries and tried out my new food processor. It's pretty awesome, I'm wondering how I've cooked this long without one.

On the menu was Cajun meatloaf, mashed potatoes & roasted broccoli.

A few "highballs" accompanied the food too.

Of course no night is complete without Heather!

All of that fun made my body crave a cleaning so the next day, I started a 30 day greenie challenge & already feel better 4 days later! We will see how this goes. I'm pretty sure I can keep it up as long as I keep the ingredients stocked.

This week also brought J mans 13th birthday. It's amazing what a difference 13 years makes!

I brought J and his classmates some treats from Muddy's on his birthday.

Kennon picked J up from school on his birthday and they went to some Pickers store on the square in Collierville that they have been wanting to check out. J loved the Square and found a little restaurant/soda fountain that he wanted to have dinner at so we went back tonight to the Silver Caboose for his birthday dinner. There will be one more "celebration" tomorrow and then we will be thorough with his many days of birthday celebrations.

(I borrowed this picture of the square from the blog My View Collierville.)
