Our last day of camp arrived and I was emotional almost before it began. There was still an extreme heat advisory and our activity for the day was baking cookies and giving them to people in the neighborhood.
Poorly planned idea considering we had to have the oven turned on all day long in a room with no AC but we persevered and made it through the day and the kids enjoyed it.
I hated to have to leave all of these little angels (and devils) we had come to love but was glad to be getting out of our sketch hotel in its sketch 'hood.
After we said our goodbyes, we hopped on a train and headed north.
We were met by Caroline's aunt and cousins and taken to an amazing farm in Connecticut. They provided us with luxury towels and bedding, an amazing view and one of the best dinners I have had in a while.
