Last weekend was a great one. It was lazy but full of all kinds of fun. We started the weekend off with some Friday night football.
They had a home game against White Station and I have to admit, I cheered for the brothers.....Yes, I went against my alma mater but I'm fine with it since J will most likely be a brother in a few short years :) We met the Mays' at the game and saw Tony Luchessi also. He took J and Drew onto the field for a little bit and they loved that.
I hit the gym early for a Saturday morning for some cardio and pilates and then a trip to the grocery store was in order to have everything we needed for the rest of our day. K got up around 7:00am and threw a pork shoulder on the smoker and I needed to grab some fixin's to go with it. We spent the rest of the day watching college football and the pork and it was sweet. LSU, Texas and Bama all won and Memphis stunk it up bad. J decided to bail on us and went to spend the night with Drake so that left about 5 pounds of meat per person for K and I. We did our best to put it away but there is still an ass load of meat in the fridge!
The weather was great Sunday morning so I knocked out 3 1/2 miles before picking J and Drake up and heading to the Delta Fair. We met up with Leegan, Chris, Angie and Sharon once we got there and spent the whole day out there. We had so much fun on all the rides!
J even rode the Fire Ball AND liked it, which amazed me. It is my favorite ever fair ride and I have been trying to get him to go on it for years with a no way Jose response everytime but this year with all his friends going, he popped right on it. Guess we have a lot of peer pressure training in our future. Nothing like the 3 amigos.....
It was an absolutely gorgeous day
An0d the bull riding was pretty great too
I got in as many of the rides as I could get
until all of the kids left or gave out on me.
Wimps, I tell ya!!!! After the fair, we had enough time to get home, get showered and watch the Cowboys play on Sunday Night Football.....anddddd it sucked. They led the whole game until the last few minutes in true Tony Romo style. I was not happy about staying up late for that!
